Bobcat Expands Telehandler Lineup With Versatile New TL619

With its new TL619 telehandler, Bobcat intends to offer reliability, simple maintenance and a comfortable environment for operators.

According to the company, this machine combines power and nimbleness to offer efficient lifting, stacking, backfilling and reaching. Whatever the industry—agriculture, construction, landscaping, snow removal or any other—Bobcat believes its TL619 gives operators the flexibility to accomplish demanding tasks with superior precision and performance.

Performance

The TL619 has a load capacity of 5,500 pounds and a lift height of 19 feet. With an optional, add-on counterweight, operators can extend their telehandler’s rated capacity throughout the lift cycle.

Also, the advanced Tier 4, turbo-charged engine delivers powerful, high-torque performance and achieves emissions compliance without the use of a diesel particulate filter (DPF) or selective catalyst reduction (SCR). According to Bobcat, operators will appreciate the new engine’s reliable cold weather starting and a variety of features that make maintenance and service more convenient.

Operators can choose from five different operation presets:

  • ECO mode allows the operator to maintain hydraulic performance without using the engine’s full power – working with lower rpm, less noise and lower fuel consumption.
  • Smooth Drive mode is ideal for maneuvering across jobsites with mild acceleration and deceleration while carrying loads.
  • Dynamic Drive mode increases responsiveness of the telehandler’s acceleration and deceleration for traveling between tasks.
  • Flex Drive mode allows the operator to manage the engine speed independently from travel speed.
  • Advanced Attachment Control mode allows for full auxiliary hydraulic performance.

Comfort and Operability

The design of the TL619 incorporates visibility enhancements. For example, the low-profile boom sits below operator eye level to provide an open view of the surroundings. Also, the engine basket sits lower for increased line of sight. Front, top and rear window wipers help keep windows free of debris and precipitation. Multiple mirrors on the operator’s left and right provide visibility when working in confined areas. An optional rear mirror kit, rear view camera kit and boom work light kit are also available.

Moreover, Bobcat claims that the cab of the TL619 provides excellent visibility and ergonomics. It features a suspension seat, HVAC system and an automotive-style instrumentation panel that has been integrated in all R-Series machines. Furthermore, in terms of safety, Bobcat telehandler cabs undergo testing to meet ROPS and Falling Object Protective Structure (FOPS) standards.

A single, intuitive joystick controls the travel direction, lift and tilt functions, boom extension, and auxiliary hydraulics. So, operators have the ability to perform fine adjustments when performing lifts. Also, this allows operators to control several machine functions at the same time, from one control point Potentially, this could enable more precise control and higher productivity without operators having to remove their hand from the joystick.

Fingertip control access makes operation smooth and comfortable. On the front side of the joystick, the directional switch for forward, neutral and reverse can be operated with the index finger. Also, the 2-speed travel switch, lift-arm float, boom extension, function settings and auxiliary hydraulics are located on the joystick’s rear.

Uptime, Serviceability and Versatility

The TL619 is built with a robust, rigid, box-welded frame and features a low-center of gravity—offering optimal stability. A shielded bottom plate looks to protect vital components while. Additionally, the engine, cooling system and critical components gain protection within the center of the chassis—ideally ensuring minimal wear and tear.

Engine compartment accessibility puts routine maintenance checks, filters and other engine components within reach of operators.

Additionally, the Bob-Tach mounting system, allows operators to share select attachments with other Bobcat equipment. From pallet forks and buckets to grapples and snow pushers, operators can tackle a vast array of tasks with the new TL691 telehandler from Bobcat.
